In short
- We never sell your personal information, and we never share it except with the few service providers that run this site.
- Data an agency loads into Flow belongs to that agency and is used only to provide the service to that agency. It is never used to train our models.
- This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers or third-party fonts. We count visits with a cookie-free tool that does not identify you.
- You can ask us to see, correct, export, or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
FlowTransit ("Flow", "we") provides route planning and optimization software for public transit. This policy describes what personal information we collect through flowtransit.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website; data that agencies load into the Flow product is governed by the service agreement with that agency.
What we collect
When you book a demo or contact us, we collect what you submit: your name, role, work email, organization, organization type, and anything you write about your goals. If you invite colleagues, we also receive their email addresses, which we use only to send them the invitation to that demo. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser information, for security and reliability. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without identifying individual visitors; it records aggregated information such as the page viewed, the referring site, the country, and the device type. This site uses no advertising trackers, sets no cookies, and loads its fonts from our own servers.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to respond to you, schedule and prepare demos, and manage our relationship with your organization. We use server logs to keep the site secure and available. We never sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email.
Product data
Network, schedule, and ridership data that an agency shares with us for an evaluation or under a service agreement belongs to that agency. We use it only to provide the service to that agency, and it is not sold, shared with other customers, or used for any other purpose. Flow's models are not trained on any agency's data. If that ever changes, we will tell agencies in advance, and any agency can opt out. At the end of an evaluation or agreement, we delete it on request. Agencies and companies that need a data processing agreement can request one at hello@flowtransit.ai.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run this site: Vercel hosts it and provides our visit statistics, Web3Forms relays form submissions, and Google Workspace handles our email. Each processes data only on our behalf and under its own security commitments, and we share personal information with no one else. Information may be processed in the United States. Vercel and Google process it under data processing terms that include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, which protect personal data transferred from the EU and UK.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process demo requests as steps taken at your request before a possible contract with your organization, and to pursue our legitimate interest in responding to professional inquiries. We process server logs and aggregated visit statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the site. Providing information through the form is voluntary, though we need your name and work email to arrange a demo. We do not make automated decisions about you.
Retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and our relationship with your organization, and then delete it. Server logs are kept for the short periods our hosting provider retains them.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to restrict how we use it, or object to our processing of it. Write to hello@flowtransit.ai and we will respond promptly. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
This site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
This site is served only over encrypted connections, and form submissions travel encrypted. Access to our email and product accounts is limited to named members of our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so if you believe your information has been exposed, write to hello@flowtransit.ai and we will investigate promptly.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle your information, we will say so plainly at the top of this page.
